Lately a person mentioned to me the German mystic Bruno Gröning. Once, Gröning said: “The greatest doctor of all mankind is and remains our Lord God!”.
Gröning’s affirmation reminded me of what Jesus, our Lord God, said to Saint Faustina and to you and me: “Mankind will not have peace until it turns with trust to My Mercy” (Diary of St. Faustina, 300).
If we want peace within us and amongst us why don’t we return with trust to Jesus’ Mercy? Why don’t we receive it sacramentally in the sacrament of reconciliation? Why don’t we give it to each other through mutual forgiveness? Why don’t we return to Him, our real and only Source of the peace we crave for?
