Davide comes from Piedmont in north west Italy and now resides in Knock, Ireland with his wife and 6 children.
From the early age of 14, and largely as a result of a difficult family situation, Davide became hooked on heroin. This led him to live a life of crime and drug abuse. At the age of 25, after 5 attempted suicides, he joined the Community Cenacolo in Italy where he had a remarkable conversion and a real personal encounter with Jesus.
Aid to the Church in Need (Malta) has invited Davide to Malta between 27th March – 1st April 2019 to share his testimony.
In 1999, Davide went to Ireland to set up the Cenacolo community in Knock and for 2 years he was responsible for the house. He lived in the community for 5 years. Since joining the Cenacolo community in 1996 and his encounter with Jesus, Davide has discovered within him the power to become a ‘Missionary of Joy’ in everything he does and says.
“For the last four years, I thank God that I am an active volunteer with the Pontifical Charity ACN IRELAND. As a volunteer I give presentation in parishes about the persecuted Christians around the world,” said Davide.
Davide gives talks in schools, churches and prisons whenever he gets an invitation. His talks are under the title ‘From Darkness to the Light’ and he delivers these talks in the hope of giving people a new perspective about both faith and life.
At the same time, Davide promotes the mission and work of the Cenacolo Community. Two years ago, he began a summer camp for fathers and sons in Knock, Ireland.
