Christmas: the Feast of God’s faithfulness

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

St. Ignatius of Antioch wrote in his Epistle to the Ephesians: “It is better to keep silence and be something than to talk and be nothing. Teaching is an excellent thing, provided the speaker practices what he teaches”.

In Jesus Christ, the little Babe of Bethlehem, God Almighty revealed himself by showing his divine faithfulness. He became one of us by his silent presence. Furthermore, He brought to fulfillment what He said through His holy prophets regarding the coming of His very Son, Jesus Christ.

Am I faithful to God by speaking less and doing more? In other words, do I practice what I preach?
