Fil-Vanġelu skont San Luqa 24: 13-35, naqraw ir-rakkont sabiħ tad-dixxipli ta’ Emmaws. Meta waslu qrib ir-raħal, Ġesù kien se jibqa’ sejjer imma d-dixxipli ġagħluh jibqa’ magħhom u qalulu: “Ibqa’ magħna, għax dalwaqt isir filgħaxija.” Hekk hu l-isem ta’ dan l-innu miktub mis-Saċerdot Domenico Macchetta: “Resta con noi, Signore, la sera”. Regina Coeli – Sultana tas-Sema

L-istorja tgħid li l-ewwel linji tar-Regina Coeli (Sultana tas-Sema) intqalu mill-anġli lill-Papa Gregorju l-Kbir fis-seba’ seklu waqt li huwa kien qed imexxi purċissjoni tal-Għid il-Kbir.  Il-Papa nnifsu żied il-kumplament.  Imbagħad il-Papa Benedittu XIV ordna li fi żmien l-Għid il-Kbir tibda tingħad mill-insara minflok it-talba tal-Angelus.

Experiencing a Finger Labyrinth

The Centre for Ignatian Spirituality (Malta) will be offering a new experience of prayer with a Finger Labyrinth. During this time of pandemic we cannot gather at Mount St Joseph Retreat House for the annual Labyrinth Retreat that was planned for World Labyrinth Day (Saturday 2nd May 2020). We therefore thought of offering an alternative form of the Labyrinth experience, that of “walking” a Finger Labyrinth from our homes.
