Unfortunately, my Facebook account has been suspended, most likely because I’ve been openly sharing my Christian faith and words of encouragement. At the moment I have appealed this decision by FaceBook and I’m trusting that everything will work out in God’s timing.

This Months Reflection

Peace Is Power: A Christian Call to Heal Our World

Peace between nations is more than the absence of war—it’s the presence of justice, respect, and Christ’s love. Our world is full of conflict and division, but the Gospel reminds us that love has the power to heal wounds and bring lasting unity: “And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” (Colossians 3:14). When countries choose dialogue over domination, they reflect God’s vision for humanity.

Jesus calls us to be peacemakers: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God’’. (Matthew 5:9). Peace isn’t just a political idea—it’s a lifestyle. It’s standing up for what’s right, forgiving instead of holding grudges, and working for reconciliation in our communities and our world. And even when Christians are misunderstood, mocked, or persecuted, we are still called to respond with peace—showing the world that Christ’s love is stronger than hate.

Pope Leo XIV, in his first words as pope, declared: “Peace be with you all!” He described peace as “unarmed and disarming, humble and persevering,” urging us to build institutions of peace—in education, culture, economics, and beyond. His call is clear: if we want peace, we can’t just talk about it; we have to build it.

Peace is not the work of one generation—it’s the mission of every generation. From elders who carry wisdom, to youth who bring energy and creativity, to children who remind us of innocence and hope—we’re all in this together. Christians live this out when we pray for leaders, support victims of war, welcome refugees, forgive even when it hurts, and resist the pull of hate online. Every choice matters. By God’s grace, our generation—and every generation—can move the world from division to reconciliation and show what real peace looks like.
