Counting my joys

The great Russian novelist, journalist and philosopher, Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky, wrote: “Man only likes to count his troubles, but he does not count his joys”.

Why not start counting my joys instead of becoming a prisoner of my sadness by counting my troubles? Would that not bring a substantial change both in my life and in those of other people around me?
