Fix-xahar wara l-Milied mhux b’għaġeb li nsibu rapporti qosra fuq firxa wiesgħa ta’ kunċerti, wirjiet u avvenimenti oħra tal-Milied. Fuq nota iktar sobrja, insibu kummentarju fuq l-orrur tal-abort, fid-dawl tal-emenda fil-Liġi li għaddejja fil-Parlament. Hemm ukoll artikli oħra fuq bosta temi li jinkludu teoloġija, storja lokali, kartografija, fawna u anki l-arti ta’ kif tibni l-ħitan tas-sejjieħ! U l-kampus tal-Università fix-Xewkija għadu kemm iċċelebra t-30 anniversarju tiegħu. Ċertament, storja ta’ suċċess.

The editorial this month marks the passing of Pope Emeritus Benedict VI, and notes that for six years his second secretary at the Vatican was Mgr Alfred Xuereb, from Victoria, now Apostolic Nuncio to Korea and Mongolia. In the Diocesan news section, we learn about the 4,000 foreign citizens on the island and the support given to these communities by the local Church. In the month after Christmas it is not a surprise to find short reports on a plethora of Christmas shows, concerts, exhibitions, and other events. On a more sober note, we can read an article on the horror of abortion, very timely in view of the Bill which is currently being read in Parliament. There are other articles on a diverse array of topics that include theology, local history, cartography, fauna and even the art of rubble-wall building! And by the way, the university campus in Xewkija has been celebrating its 30th anniversary. Certainly, a success story.
