This Months Reflection

God’s Love is Personal

One of the most comforting truths of the Christian faith is this: God’s love isn’t distant—it’s deeply personal. He doesn’t just love “humanity” in general; He personally loves you. Jesus said, “And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” (Matthew 10:30-31). This verse means that God sees you when you feel alone —whether you’re scrolling on your mobile late at night, sitting in class, or carrying stress no one else notices of what you are going through. God is there, loving you.

God showed this love most clearly in Jesus. He didn’t stay far away, because Jesus stepped right into people’s pain. He sat with the woman at the well who carried shame, and He wept at Lazarus’s tomb. Today He still enters our brokenness—when someone feels lonely in a crowd, when a parent feels unseen, or when regrets weigh us down. As Paul wrote, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.’(Romans 5:8).

It’s easy to believe God only loves people who “have it all together.” But that’s not true. He sees our flaws and still stays close to us. Just like He touched the leper when no one else would, He’s present now with those battling anxiety, addiction, or fear about the future. His love gives hope when life feels heavy and reminds us that no matter how far we run away from Him, His arms are always open to embrace us, to welcome us back to the Father.

This kind of love changes everything. If God the Creator of the universe knows you this deeply and delights in you in a personal way, you don’t have to be ashamed or feel not worthy. You can face each day with courage, with hope and trust in Him and extend that same love of God to others.

Remember that God’s love is personal and all you have to do is to accept His love, and to let God mould you into a better person.
