True love

Besides being the title of a very researched festschrift honouring the Rev. Prof. Salvino Caruana O.S.A. on the occasion of his 70th birthday, Non laborat qui amat is a powerful phrase taken from St. Augustine’s writings. It means that nothing is painful to love. True love fills the soul and makes it forget all other things. Love is ever active, ever alert, ever studious, ever watchful for opportunities. It only seeks to serve and not be served!

Do I want to let God sanctify my life by instilling within me this kind of love?
