Missio, the Pope’s official charity organization, is in your hands!
Last January Missio launched a series of preparatory sessions for volunteers who will be participating in upcoming missionary trips. Missionary trips offer valuable opportunities to serve others, build relationships and share hope. However, effective missionary work requires preparation. Training sessions aim to help participants understand better the cultural context of the communities they will encounter, deepen their spiritual commitment, strengthen relationships within the team and develop the practical skills needed to serve responsibly.
Seven Mission Sessions are planned; six take place before departure and focus on several key areas: from Missio and missionary work, understanding goals, team building, cultural awareness to spiritual preparation, and practical logistics and safety.
The 7th session will take place when groups return from missionary experience and will provide an opportunity for evaluation and reflection, allowing participants to share their experiences, assess the impact of the mission, and reflect on the lessons learned.
