This Months Reflection
How does society ensure social justice?
In today’s life, throughout all nations, social justice is a very discussed topic. One might ask, but how does society ensure social justice?
Basically, from a Catholic point of view, all men and women according to the place and role that they occupy participate in promoting the common good by respecting just laws and taking charge of the areas for which they have personal responsibility such as the care of their own family and the commitment to their own work. Citizens also should take an active part in public life as far as possible.
As can be seen, one of the most important things for a society to ensure social justice, is in promoting the common good by respecting just laws. A healthy society rest a lot if the common good is provided in a just way to all people, without discriminating no one. This would be possible if just laws are in place and that abuse to any system is prohibited. Furthermore, taking care of one another and helping one another to ensure social justice, is a responsibility for every person to undertake through love.
